Development Boards

The Bread Board

The bread board was used to make projects the test the code used to teach myself to program micro controllers.

I use a Pickit 2 as the interface between the PC and the Micro controller.

This bread board was built around a PIC16F887.

The set up is as follows:

Port A = Analog input and output

Port B = 7 Segment Display

Port C 0 to 3 = LED 9 General Output)

Port C 4 to 5 = Analog Input

Port C 6 and 7 = Tx and RX Serial Com

Port D 1 to 4 = LCD Display

Port D 4 to 7 = 7 Segment Disp Sel

Port E = LCD Display

The Prototype Training Board

The Breadboard has become very busy, untidy and difficult to read to follow the circuits and find the faults. I designed the training board and made it on a strip board. The results are shown below. The pin -out developed on the bread board has remained the same.
